*Is it beneficial to hire a freelance writer?

Yes and here’s why. You may be a business owner/entrepreneur who believes that if you can write, you can write for your site and all of your company’s needs. You could, but you may be less effective and efficient in doing so. Just like you might hire an accountant for your financial needs and a wedding planner for your personal ones, hiring a writer to do all of your writing is a good idea for this simple reason: Hiring an expert means less stress for you and more quality, professional writing for your company.

*How can help you and your business?

You can also check out my services page, for more detailed info. But basically, I provide consultation to newbie writers and business owners who may need a little extra oomph in either their writing or publishing skills. I also work with clients on a variety of services from writing their web content (about us, mission statement, FAQ, etc.), to their product descriptions and everything in between including editing, newsletter writing and social media services.

*How much do I charge?

Oh the million dollar question! Well, not quite. Prices differ depending on the scope of the project, the research involved and the task itself. Also, rates could go on an hourly schedule as well as a flat rate varying by project and the client’s preference. I like to work with clients to find out what their budget is for each project so we can reach a fair and agreed upon amount. In general, my rates start at between $35-50 per hour. *Contracts, invoices, extras?

In general, after speaking with you I will draw up a contract that specifies the details of our agreement. I will send you an invoice via email after the project is completed with the expectation that the payment will be sent to me within 30 days of receiving this invoice. Any new projects not mentioned in the contract will be included in a new one. Larger projects and projects on a temporary basis, may require a 50% deposit at the beginning and the other 50% after completion. I am happy to make changes and edits on a project. After 30 days of receiving the completed project without any request for changes or edits, I will expect that you’re satisfied with my work. Any additional edits/changes requested after that will require another contract.

*How fast can I get back to you? In a rush?

I am speedy when it comes to emails and you should hear back from me within the end of a business day or the next at the latest.
