Social Media Tips for Authors With Business Consultant Mitch Mitchell

As writers, we love to write and create, and sometimes even edit. But talk about ourselves? Work on our finances? Market our books on social media? It’s enough to send us back behind the safety of our computers.

Introverts as most of us are, are deeply uncomfortable putting ourselves out there. But being an author is a business. It requires us to share who we are with the world and to do so in a real, authentic way. This is why meeting author and business consultant Mitch Mitchell was such a breath of fresh air. Everything from his website, which is aptly called, “I’mJustSharing.com,” to his YouTube channel is candid and full of his personality.

You will get this when you hear our conversation. It’d be great to listen to it in its entirety, but you must listen to the end where we talk about confronting difficult topics online and knowing what not to say when it comes to race.

I feel like I’ve got a friend for life in Mitch. I think after you hear him, you’ll not only learn practical ways to engage and build your readers, but you’ll feel as I do too.
