It’s been too long since I posted here. And hopefully I will have good news to share soon.
I have a lot of plans for 2024. Do you?
I’m going to redo this website, continue to write for kids and the environment. Personally, I’m also focusing on my health in 2024. You know how you always say that, but health is kind of the last thing on your resolutions list?
After being hit with a lot of viruses these last few Covid years and then getting what appears to be Long-Covid, which I’m still recovering from, I’m not just saying that. I have to listen to my body and rest, and not do too much because there isn’t a choice not to. I’m hoping 2024 brings better health and potential travel with my kids.
I’m hoping that this time, this illness, will remind me of what’s important. To not stress over things I can’t control. To be disappointed and give myself permission to sometimes do nothing instead of trying to put out all the fires.
In the meantime, I wanted to pop in here with a little fast craft that I did with photo cards I’ve been holding on for 10 years! My son’s first birthday party invitations have been wasting a way in a box because I didn’t have the heart to throw them away. It’s the same for all the Christmas cards we get every year. I never knew what to do with them.
This year, I decided to turn my son’s photo card into a Christmas ornament and the other copies as gift tags and thank you cards. It’s the same for all the holiday cards we get every year. They’d make great ornaments for the tree and a neat way to see how kids change as they grow older. I also did bookmarks as well.
Well I promised myself I’d make this short and sweet so see you over in the new year! And leave me a note to say what you will be focusing on in 2024 will ya?
