Will 2011 Be Your Year to Shine?

When the ball dropped ending 2010, were you praying?

Did you wish for a sudden change to your business? A wealthier 2011 with better paying clients and jobs?

You were not alone. I was with you too.

But here we both are. Sitting in front of our computers with the same issues, concerns and worries that we had in 2010.

It’s not bad luck or the economy.

It’s us.

The only thing you did wrong was believing that somehow your wishes would unfold over night.

If you’re like, instead of a bag of wishes fulfilled you ended up with a ball of problems will come rolling down at you.

So here’s what you need to do.

  • Roll up your sleeves and let’s get started!
  • Sit down in front of your computer or just grab a pen and a pad of paper.
  • Close your eyes and envision what you want for 2011.
  • Write it down.
  • Be as silly and unrealistic as possible.
  • Then, get serious and circle the goals you really want to accomplish in 2011.
  • Go backwards step by step and write down what it will take for you to reach your goals.
  • Create a daily/weekly/monthly to do list and work on getting through them step by step.
  • Fill in time for relaxation, fun and creative.

Taking the time to plan out your life is every bit as important as exercising. Yet, we often carve out lots of time to go to the gym, but neglect our dreams.

Whatever situation you are in at this moment is the consequences of what you did in 2009.

Whenever I feel down, hopeless, or frustrated, I remember my list of goals in 2003. I also remember the task lists I had for one of them-move to California. It gives me confidence and courage to read that I was able to check off almost all of what was on that list.

And I believe you can too.

Come on! Let’s work together to get through all of them so that in 2012 we can reflect on all that we have accomplished in 2011.
